Welcome To The Warm Point Project
New Update March 2009: The Warm Point Project. Our Aim is simple. To raise as much money as we can to help the elderly, who are suffering from fuel poverty in Warrenpoint and the surrounding area. On the 1st of November, The Project Founder, Warrenpoint man, Mark Gibbons, took part in a sky dive with the help of Sky Line in Coleraine. Mark raised a grand total of £1,000 so that 10 homes in Warrenpoint can get £100 of oil into their tanks for the Winter period. When all the money is raised from the Warm-point project it will be then given to the good people of St Vincent De Paul Warrenpoint and all that is asked in return is that it is given to the local pensioners who are suffering from fuel poverty.
A Little About Us
The project has no longer become the goal of just one person but has attracted the attention and interest of many which has lead it to becoming a group project for the next year. We can safely say that those who have come on board and taken an interest will contribute greatly to the expansion of the project. The goal of the Project for 2009 is to raise at least £4000 and hopefully heat the homes of 40 of our elderly in the community.
